I designed a series of book-spread layouts showcasing the history of the former Firestone building in South Gate, CA. The project involved researching and sourcing archival imagery from the Los Angeles Public Library and city archives to visually support the building’s evolving story. Exploring the many historical moments tied to the space, made it especially compelling to see how the building has transformed over time.
I approached the layouts with a clean, simple timeline structure that emphasized the imagery, allowing the history to speak visually. The project later extended into a digital experience, where I collaborated with developers to translate the timeline into an interactive format for the current company’s website.
